See All ReviewsJust tried this place for the first time. I got the shrimp dinner and it was AMAZING. I will definitely be back!
The woman I talked to was super nice and accommodating. The place was nice, but man food was very average. Egg rolls and crab rangoons reminded me of Walmart frozen food. The noodles and fried rice were mush. The General Tso chicken was literally just boneless wings with a sauce that I wouldn’t classify as General Tso flavored. The people who work there were nice, but $54 for some freezer isle food is tough.
We decided to give Hibachi King another try after new owners took over in October—and I am SO glad we did! From the moment we walked in, the experience was completely different. The service alone made us feel right at home. The young woman working was incredibly kind, welcoming, and talked to us like we were friends. She even shared that it’s a family-owned spot run by her and her parents, which made it feel even more special. Now let’s talk about the food… absolutely AMAZING. Hands down the best hibachi we’ve ever had. Everything tasted fresh and homemade, and you can truly tell they care about quality. And the crab rangoons?! Out of this world. They were packed with filling—no skimping at all—and the wonton itself was light and fluffy instead of the typical crunchy shell. Easily the best we’ve ever had. We were not let down one bit. If you’re in Kent and thinking about hibachi, this place is a must-try. We’ll definitely be back!
